Meet Us

Each person on our staff works to provide comfortable, comprehensive dental care in a relaxed, friendly environment where our patients’ questions are answered, their concerns are addressed and their time is honored. That’s not just something we say- it’s our mission.

The Dental Office of Henry Matthews, DDS has been serving patients from Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale and the rest of Northwest Arkansas since 1987. We serve patients of all ages and recognize that quality dental health services in a family style atmosphere is very important to them. Our staff is qualified to perform general or cosmetic dental procedures that will exceed patient expectations, as well as oral surgery using conscious sedation methods.

We offer comprehensive dentistry in a relaxed, friendly environment. It is very important to our staff that our patients’
questions are answered, their concerns are addressed and their time is honored.

Dr. Henry Matthews

Dr. Henry “Hank” Matthews

Dr. Matthews has been in private practice since 1987. He received his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Arkansas in 1981, his DDS from LSU School of Dentistry in 1985, and completed a General Practice Residency at Charity Hospital of New Orleans in 1987 prior to moving to Fayetteville with his wife Diane.  He is a member of both the Arkansas and American Dental Associations, the Academy of General Dentistry, and is a founding member of the Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy.  He is on the board of the West Campus Dental Assisting Training Program where he also volunteers his time in direct patient care.  In addition to that he offers his time bimonthly at the Samaritan House Free Dental Clinic in Rogers, a ministry of Fellowship Bible Church Of NWA where he and his family have been involved since moving to Fayetteville in 1987.

Dr. Matthews and Diane have been married for over thirty years and have four children:  Joshua, Courtney, David and Daniel.  In 2012, two new family members were added to the Matthews Clan.  Joshua married Taylor Johnson of Fayetteville in May and they live in New Orleans where he is an architect for a large firm. Courtney married Shea Halligan of Denver, Colorado in September and she is on staff at Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers, AR.  We love our new additions!

Dr. Matthew’s interests include hiking, fishing, and photography. He especially enjoys outdoor photography and his favorite subjects are waterfalls, remote creeks, and other outdoor landmarks unique to Northwest Arkansas.

Sara Moon Chilcutt, Office Administrator

Sara Moon Chilcutt

Our office administrator, Sara, is efficient and knows how to run an office well. She knows it’s important to have professional practices in place while also being kind to people. She loves building relationships with her coworkers and our patients as she helps them with the business side of their dental care. When not working, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband, Neal, their two children, two granddaughters, two dogs and two cats. They keep her busy!

LaTrice Menasco-Sherman, Assistant Office Administrator

LaTrice Menasco-Sherman

LaTrice is an assistant office administrator. She has worked with our patients and office staff since 2001 to bring a professional, efficient, and friendly atmosphere to our front office. She has a BA in Education and taught speech and drama in Texas before moving to Arkansas.  LaTrice loves a good laugh. Outside of work she loves dachshunds, reading, quilting and needlework. LaTrice and her husband, Fred, have two sons and three grandchildren.

Diane Matthews, Office Accountant

Diane Matthews job title is Office Accountant, She has been married to Dr. Hank Matthews for 30+ years. Diane handles payroll, tax reports and A/P. She is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and attended the University of Arkansas. She was on the platform diving team at the University of Arkansas where she holds the distinction of being the first female All-American Athlete. She enjoys spending time with her children and is involved in Women’s Ministry at Fellowship Bible Church of NWA.

Cynthia Puckett, Hygienist

Cynthia Puckett

Cynthia has decades of experience as a dental hygienist and we’re honored to have had her in our office since 2003. She stays active in several professional organizations such as the American Dental Hygiene Association, Arkansas Dental Hygiene Association, Northwest Arkansas Dental Hygiene Association and the Ozark Dental Hygiene Study Club. She has been married to her husband, Don, for over 40 years and has two children and two grandchildren.

Julie Mason, Dental Assistant

Julie Ann Mason

Julie is one of our Registered/Certified dental assistants. She has worked in the dental field for nearly 20 years. She loves being with our patients – from seeing them smile, to building relationships with them. She has been in our practice for 9 years. Julie loves spending time with her husband Brent, and their three children, as well as finding time to read, garden and create pottery.

Phet Thirakoun, Dental Assistant

Phetubon Thirakoun

Phet is a registered dental assistant and has been with the practice since 2007. She loves being able to help our patients have healthy, beautiful smiles. When she’s not brightening our patients’ lives, Phetubon enjoys baking and crafting.

Pamela Mardis, Registered Dental Hygienist

Pamela Mardis

Pamela is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Memphis with a Bachelor’s of science Degree in Dental Hygienist. She is also certified by the state of Arkansas to administer local anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide. Prior to starting Dr. Matthews’ team, Pamela started her hygiene career Germantown, Tennessee. She later moved to Northwest Arkansas. She has over thirteen years of dental experience. Pamela’s role as a hygienist is very rewarding, because she gets to help improve people’s overall oral health.

Pamela and her husband, John, have been married over eight years. They have a cairn terrier that’s the joy of their life. Pamela loves going on an adventure by traveling with her husband and reading books. She loves photography and capturing every memory.
